After a few moments and a speech from Stephanie McMahon, things were about to get heated tonight on the first night of Wednesday Night Retribution. ‘Light It Up’ started playing and AJ Lee came bouncing out from backstage. Converse shoes and blue ring gear on as she made her way to the ring with a determined look on her face. Sliding into the ring, she moved to sit in between the ropes on the far side of the ring as she waited for the first competitor. AJ was awfully determined to win this match and she wouldn’t let anything get in her way.
‘You Can Look, But You Can’t Touch’ hit as Brie Bella came out not bothering to even look at anything or stop before she went out to the ring. She was solo which happened on rare occasions but she was glad to be alone. Sliding into the ring, she blew a kiss out to the WWA Universe before she glared at AJ. The ref quickly pat both competitors down as Justin Roberts quickly spoke.
“The following match is a Gauntlet Match for the WWA Women’s Title. Participants must toss each other out if the ring and be the last one standing in order to win. Once your feet hit the floor, you are out.” He paused inhaling a sharp breath. “Every three minutes a new competitor will enter the ring. Introducing at this time, AJ Lee and Brie Bella!” The crowd roared as the ref signaled for the bell.
Both divas quickly locked up with Brie overpowering the smaller woman. Brie quickly shoved AJ down to the mat and she grinned as AJ merely rolled over onto all fours and grinned sadistically at the twin. Standing up, AJ quickly jumped on the woman and began hammering her fists on her as the ref quickly separated the two.
Brie quickly recovering as she kept her distance before kicking AJ in the back as she fell to the mat again. Feet stomping on the shorter woman as Brie crouched down to put the girl in a Camel Clutch. Hands folded beneath the chin of the shorter woman as she stretched the girls head back tugging roughly as the girl cried out in pain. Brie let go after a few moments and already, two minutes had gone by.
AJ laid still trying to recover before Brie gripped onto her hair. Once Brie had pulled her to her feet, AJ retaliated by elbowing her in the stomach several times. She ran to the ropes bouncing off as she tackled the woman to the mat. “Ten! Nine! Eight!” The crowd and timer counted down as AJ kneed the female in the back of the head before a new competitor came in.
A sound of laughing could be heard before Natalya’s music hit. A determined grin in her face as she tossed her Louis Vuitton cape aside and Stephanie quickly folded it up. “Go Nattie!” Stephanie said into her headset. The men around her still commentating as Natalya quickly helped AJ toss Brie out of the ring. But, Brie had grabbed onto AJ before being dragged down and both females were eliminated.
AJ growled before going to attack Brie as she jumped on the female. Gripping onto her hair, she slammed her head into the floor repeatedly before refs came out to separate the two and the next competitor came out. But, they would have to wait until the two females had separated.
‘Spin The Bottle’ hit and the crowd went wild. Kaitlyn posed for a moment before slapping hands with WWA Universe members as she made her way to the ring. Quickly, she slid into the ring before eyeing Natalya for a moment.
Natalya quickly going to clothesline the woman but Kaitlyn ducked. When Natalya came running towards her again, Kaitlyn kicked her in the stomach and the woman doubled over. Kaitlyn quickly took the opportunity to weaken the woman more. Kick after kick meeting the woman’s back before she let off a moment letting the woman recover.
Once Natalya had recovered, she got up onto her feet and started punching on Kaitlyn who was now on the mat. Kaitlyn quickly retaliating as she recovers, getting a good distance away. Watching Natalya run towards her Kaitlyn quickly caught up and speared the woman out of the ring. Kaitlyn almost went with her but she clung to the ropes as she went over them.
Quickly, she gathered momentum and tucked her legs in as she swung back into the ring. Waiting for her opponent, she cracked her knuckles blowing Natalya a kiss. ‘lovepassionfury’ hit and Kaitlyn nearly lost it then and there. Lita was one of the many influences in her career and she would be facing her right at this moment.
As Lita came down the ramp, Kaitlyn had a determined look on her face. The two quickly shook hands before locking up as Lita over powered her. Kaitlyn falling to the mat before she quickly got back up. The two women performing submission after submission on each other and neither of them gave up.
Before they knew it, the last participant entered the ring. Quickly, Leva Bates got rid of both opponents but Kaitlyn had landed on her butt, feet not touching the ground as she fell in front of the announce table. Quickly, she had to think of something to get into the ring. Using her agility, she got on her hands doing a handstand as she placed her feet on the announce table pulling herself on top.
Swallowing nervously, she thought for a moment before an idea came to her. Signaling to Stephanie, Stephanie got up helping set up a ladder across the distance from the announce table and the ring and Leva looked confused. This also involved almost no stipulations. Quickly, Kaitlyn thanked Stephanie and she stood on top of the ladder.
Sprinting across the ladder, she jumped right on Leva and tackled her to the mat as she began punching her several times before letting go. Kicking the ladder down, she kicked it away and turned to meet one Superhero Kick from Leva. Falling over, Kaitlyn was slightly dazed and when she felt Leva go to roll her out of the ring she came to.
Jumping to her feet, she head butted Leva straight in the mouth and she was sure the female was bleeding. No, the female was bleeding. Her teeth catching her bottom lip as blood pooled around her bottom lip slightly. Leva was near the ropes and she was already dazed. Quickly, Kaitlyn took the opportunity to kick Leva out of the ring. Literally. The bell rang as Leva sat there before she was staggering to the backstage area.
Kaitlyn nearly started crying as she was handed a shiny belt. Tears threatening to spill from her eyes as everyone cheered. She held up her belt moving from ring post to ring post as she smiled brightly. She had indeed had a great night and made quite an impact on tonight’s match.
